The Royal Venaria
Born on the impulse of Carlo Emanuele II as a sumptuous hunting and leisure residence, the Venaria Reale represents one of the sumptuous ducal residences of Piedmont, built in order to weave a "Crown of Delights" around the capital, in testimony to the prestige of the Savoys.
The result of a work undertaken between 1659 and 1679 based on a design by the architect Castellamonte, the imposing complex of the Royal Palace of Venaria unfolded along a two kilometer axis, connecting the Borgo, the sumptuous residence , the magnificent Diana Hall and the sumptuous Gardens.
